Still religion, like still water, is the first to freeze.
The reason some people have so little heart in their Christianity is because they have so little Christianity in their heart.
I don't know who wrote the following poem, so I can't give credit to the author. But I sure do like the poem!
I dreamed Death came the other night,
And Heaven's gate swung wide;
With kindly grace an angel
Ushered me inside.
And there to my astonishment
Stood folks I'd known on earth--
Some I'd judged and labelled
"Unfit," or "little worth."
Indignant words rose to my lips
But never were set free.
For every face showed stunned surpise--
No one expected me!
