COME 'N GO

My blogs will probably be few and far between for the next six weeks. We're leaving for vacation next week; and in the meantime, I've got umpteen things to do!

In fact, I got up between 4:00 and 5:00 AM this morning because I couldn't sleep thinking of all that had to be done. So I started making lists: Things to Do; Last minute shopping; Things to Take; Clothes to Take; Food to Take, etc. etc.

Thank the Lord I had four cortisone shots Monday or I'd never make it. Even then, I can only do so much and then have to rest because of the pinched nerve in my back! (Of course, once I sit or lie down, I have nary a pain or ache in my entire body! It's just standing and walking that bother me.)

Today I managed three big tasks. First, I got the last remnants of our garage sale week before last put away. Secondly, I got a wedding gift (something fragile, wouldn't you know!) wrapped and ready to mail. And third, I made three lbs. hamburger into mini meat loaves and froze them, two to a package! That's in addition to getting the evening meal (our main meal), meeting with the seniors from church for breakfast, arguing with the pharmacist and then the doctor about a prescription I need refilled before leaving but which my insurance won't cover for another month!

Add to that the fact that Tippy slipped out again, found something to eat which made him sick to his little tummy which had me cleaning several spots on the rug!

Maybe all this doesn't sound like much to some of you -- but to me, that's a tremendous amount of work for one day!

I am taking my laptop with me, of course, and will continue blogging as I can -- but I know there will be several places where I will not have access to computer hookup, even though I have wireless.

Oh, yes -- you're probably wondering where we're going! To our Bible College reunion in Col. Spgs., CO. We'll also spend some time with two of our sons in Idaho and Rex's remaining brother in Denver. Who knows what else we'll decide as we go along?

This will probably be our last B-I-G trip in our motor home, so we're going to enjoy it.

See you when I can. Remember us in your prayers.
